Sendai Tanabata Festival is the biggest summer festival in my hometown, Sendai, Japan.
We decorate a bamboo tree with beautiful ornaments made of Japanese “Washi” paper and “tanzaku” written our wishes on. Streaming long strip of paper of Tanabata ornaments by gentle breeze give us a sense of summer! Firework display on the festival eve is also a part of the big event.

I would like to ask you from all over the world to take part in Sendai Tanabata Festival by posting your wishes on online tanzaku.
One year past since the earthquake, the victims have taken step forward to recovery while still going through a lot of difficulty. I believe that presenting your wishes on the web site will encourage people in Japan to keep going for full recovery.
Thank you!
